기본동사 get 의 의미

회화에서 가장 많이 사용되는 동사가 get 입니다.  

제대로 다 알기는 어렵겠지만 정리를 한번 해봤습니다. 

get 의 의미가 매우 많은데 기본적인 의미는 크게 3가지 의미로 적어봤습니다.

I got a call from Dennis at lunchtime. (점심시간에 데니스한테 전화 왔었어)

What are you getting? (뭐 시킬 거야?)

He got straight As this semester. (그는 전과목 A를 받았어. 이번 학기에) 

MiMi got a goose egg in the math test. (미미는 빵점을 받았어. 수학시험에서) 

The team got the goose egg in the match. (그 팀은 무득점이었어. 경기에서 → 그 팀은 영패를 당했어) 

I know you got paid today. (당신 오늘 월급 받았다는 거 알아요)

    택시를 타고(take a taxi), 지하철을 타고(take the subway), 버스를 타고(take a bus) 등

    교통수단을 타고 간다고 할때  take 동사를 쓴다.

    get a taxi 는 택시를 타기 위해 움직여서 택시를 잡는다 는 뉘앙스

He is getting worse and worse. (그는 병세가 점점 나빠지고 있다)

When do you usually get hungry? (보통 언제 배가 고픈가요?)

It's getting dark. (점점 어두워지고 있다)

I got a cold because I got my feet wet. (난 감기에 걸렸어. 왜냐하면 내 발이 젖어서)

If you don't work harder, you'll get behind. (너 더 열심히 공부 안하면, 뒤떨어질거야)
