guest, customer, client 의 차이
guest, customer 모두 우리말로 고객 또는 손님이라고 하는데 차이가 뭔지 알아보기 위해 영어사이트를 찾아 봤다.
Guest
is the visitor that comes to your own place. He is gladly received,
served with the best treats, and asked to repeat his visit.
On the
other side, customer is a purchaser. He is interacting in trading; he
offers money and receives commodities, but not hospitality.
A customer is necessarily a person who comes to you to buy something, however a guest comes just to see you, to visit you.
백화점, 가게(store), 식당(restaurant)에서 돈을 쓰거나 서비스를 구매하는 사람을 customer 라고 하고,
집에 초대한 손님, 호텔에 돈을 지불하고 머무르는 사람을 guest 라고 한다.
The store where I work had many customers today because it’s almost Christmas.
내가 일하는 가게는 오늘 손님이 많았다. 크리스마스 무렵이라서
Our shop usually gets about 50 customers a day. (우리 가게는 보통 하루에 50명의 손님을 받는다)

투숙객중 한분이 컴플레인(불평)했다. 오늘 아침 객실에서 깨끗한 타월을 못받았다고
