Describe 는 고양이가 검은색과 하얀색이 있고 녹색눈을 하고 있다는 눈에 보이는 외관을 설명하는 것이구요
Explain 은 Why(왜) 고양이가 검은색도 있고 하얀색도 있는지에 대한 이유를 설명하네요.
The police asked her to describe the man. (경찰이 그녀한테 부탁했다. 그 남자에 대해 자세하게 설명해달라고)
Can you describe him to me? (그 남자 어떻게 생겼는지 말해 줄 수 있어요? → 그 남자 인상착의가 어떤지 말해줄 수 있어요?)
Could you please describe his appearance? (그 남자의 인상 착의를 설명해 주시겠어요?)
