put on, wear, take off

put on 은 옷을 입거나 신발을 신거나 모자를 쓰거나 하는 동작에 중점을 둔다.
wear 는 이미 옷을 입은 상태, 신발을 신은 상태를 표현한다.
wear 는 영미인들은 '뭔가를 몸에 걸치다' 라는 의미로 사용한다.
These two words are often confused.
Put on clothes = get dressed. (옷을 입는)
We do this in the morning or after a bath.
wear = keep clothes on the body. (옷을 착용하고 상태)
We do this all day until we take a bath or go to bed.
The shirt you're wearing now is really wrinkled. You should put on another shirt.

We use “put on”, “wear” and “take off” for any piece of clothing: hats, shirts, pants, shoes, socks, etc.
We also use these terms for other things we put on our bodies such as jewelry, glasses and make up.
It's time for a bath. Go and take off your clothes, and I’ll fill the bathtub with water for you.
