choose 와 pick 의 차이

These three words, choose, select ,and pick, have been confusing me.
choose 와 select 그리고 pick 는 모두 '고르다, 선택하다' 라는 뜻을 가지고 있다

Choose refers to a thoughful selection. (신중하게 생각한 후에 선택할 때)
Pick is more of a casual selection. (아무거나 골라 잡을때)

Select is more formal than choose, and in everyday English, people usually say choose rather than select.

You must take what you are given.
You cannot pick and choose.
